This Privacy Policy explains how our website (https://lucentracare.com), our mobile and web applications, and our related services (collectively, the “Services”) collect, use, share, and safeguard your information.
This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through the Services. Protected Health Information (“PHI”) that Lucentra Care receives or creates in the course of providing ABA therapy and related clinical services is governed separately by our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices (NPP), which describes the uses and disclosures of PHI in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (“HIPAA”). Lucentra Care offers SMS text messaging to individuals who explicitly opt in. Opt-in is voluntary, and consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of receiving any services from Lucentra Care, purchasing any product, or completing any transaction with Lucentra Care.
How you opt in. You may opt in to SMS by submitting our website intake form at https://lucentracare.com/contact-us/ and checking the optional, unchecked SMS consent checkbox, or by providing verbal or written consent during a direct intake conversation with Lucentra Care staff. The website checkbox is not pre-selected and the intake form may be submitted without opting in to SMS.
What you may receive. If you opt in, you may receive SMS messages from Lucentra Care related to intake follow-up, appointment scheduling and reminders, service updates, care coordination, and account support. Message frequency varies and depends on the nature of your interaction with us. We do not use SMS for marketing or promotional content.
Costs. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Lucentra Care does not charge for SMS messages.
No sharing for marketing. Lucentra Care does not sell, rent, share, or otherwise disclose mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in information, or SMS message content to any third party or affiliate for that party’s marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers collected for SMS are used solely by Lucentra Care and our service providers (such as our SMS messaging platform vendor) to deliver the messages described above and to comply with applicable carrier and regulatory requirements.
How to opt out. You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying any of the following keywords to a message you receive from us: STOP, CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, REVOKE, OPTOUT, or STOPALL. After you opt out, you will receive a one-time confirmation message and will not receive further SMS messages from that number unless you re-subscribe by replying START.

SMS is not secure. SMS is not an encrypted or secure channel. Please do not send Protected Health Information (PHI), clinical details, diagnoses, insurance member identifiers, dates of birth, or other sensitive information by SMS. Lucentra Care implements administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Information transmitted through the Services is encrypted in transit using industry-standard protocols, and PHI is handled in accordance with the HIPAA Security Rule. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with our legal, regulatory, and accreditation obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Clinical records containing PHI are retained for the period required by applicable state and federal law.
Lucentra Care provides ABA therapy and related services to children, and we collect information about children from their parents or legal guardians as part of our intake and clinical services. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through the website or application. Parents and legal guardians may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their child’s information by contacting us at info@lucentracare.com, subject to applicable legal and recordkeeping requirements.
